Eagle House is a busy place where it can be easy to be swept along with the plethora of lessons and activities on offer. We feel it is therefore important that in addition to our weekly Learning For Life lessons, once a term the children and staff stop and look in more depth, outwardly at what is going on in the world around them or inwardly at how we ourselves can do things better.
‘Make-A-Difference’ days focus on important issues that affect our lives and lives of others, in the hope that we can make change for the good. The days also allow our community to come together and for pupils and staff to work together across year groups. Each term the topic varies, but our aim is to understand the world around us, learn something more in depth and raise some money for a charity linked to the topic. However, we do not forget about these topics at other times of the term. Our Golden Eagle programme develops Global Social Leaders who champion these causes along with our active School Council throughout the year.
