The tutor system is designed so that every pupil has close contact with a member of the teaching staff.
The tutor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day life of a pupil and is also there to encourage and support as necessary. The average size for a tutor group at Eagle House is 7 children. This allows children to get to know their tutor because children remain with their tutors for two years, apart from in Years 3 & 4.
Every member of the teaching staff at Eagle House is a tutor and there are set times during the weeks when pupil and tutor meet. Parents have regular contact with the tutor through email, telephone and through a variety of parent meetings throughout the year. Tutors work in partnership with parents so that the pupil can achieve the very best from their Eagle House experience.
All tutors meet weekly with their Pastoral Head and this means information can be communicated quickly and effectively. Tutors are also part of the LFL Plus programme and help to deliver the curriculum in this most important of areas.
