Whether it is developing independence, making long-lasting friendships or simply gaining confidence, boarding at Eagle House can offer something for everyone. All these experiences and many others will ensure that every boarder who stays with us is ‘Learning for Life’.
We offer full, weekly and flexi-boarding and our boarders have lots of fun with their friends and the camaraderie, comforting accommodation and supportive staff mean that our house really is a home from home.

Each year group has a dedicated study session every evening with boarding staff on hand to offer help and guidance as prep or additional reading is completed. With members of the boarding staff team specialising in different areas of the school curriculum, the boarders are well placed to seek expert advice when needed.
Our facilities are first class and activities make use of all the school has to offer - swimming pool, sports hall, food tech centre, drama studio, the wonderful Old Library where we share special evenings such as carols around the fire at Christmas, Valentine's Disco, movie nights and much more.
Our house sparkles with laughter and as our children grow up, they learn to appreciate each other and how kindness, responsibility and sharing all help to make an Eagle House child the best they can possibly be.
The boarders common room, has the vibe of a London loft apartment. Large squishy sofas, table football, large screen TV, beanbags and an area to make drinks and snacks
Muddy Stilettos 2021 Review
The Boarding House at Eagle House is a lively and friendly place to be. With children of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities there is always something new to learn or new to experience further enriching the opportunities to ‘Learn for Life’. We are in partnership with mums and dads and boarders are in close contact with their parents every day via phone, text or email. We are passionate about creating an awesome boarding environment for all our pupils and welcome anyone who would like to join us.
Boarding Principles
The aim of the staff and pupils in the Boarding House is to create a well-structured, well-disciplined, warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for the boarders and their parents. This enables the boarders to thrive socially and academically away from home and learn to be independent. The House Staff are very approachable and make every effort to safeguard the welfare and promote the development of the boarders in all aspects of their lives and help them cultivate good all-round habits that they can take on to senior schools and beyond.
Guiding principles
- All members of our House have the right to work, play and relax free from abuse and intimidation, harassment, unkind teasing and bullying.
- Based on mutual respect, all members of our House will enjoy equal opportunities regardless of their gender, cultural background or abilities.
- Every member of our House will be treated and respected as an individual.The link between home life and school life will be strong, offering support and guidance at all stages of our children’s lives.
In the Boarding House we aim to:
- produce an open and trusting environment in which every member of our House feels able to approach one another, confident in the knowledge that he or she will be treated and respected as an individual;
- create an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding in which unkind teasing, harassment and bullying would find great difficulty in developing;
- provide a range of activities, hobbies and opportunities related to age and maturity that will assist in the personal and social development of each member of the House;
- safeguard and promote the welfare of every member of our House, by providing an environment that is, as far as possible, free from physical hazards and dangers of any sort;
- provide accommodation that is comfortable and suited to the needs of children, according to age and maturity, and which provides adequate levels of privacy;
- develop the children’s responsibility for self, for others and for the environment;
- develop the children’s qualities of leadership and ability to work as part of a team;
- provide suitable conditions for the children to feel able to turn to members of staff to share the good things in their lives, as well as seeking advice, counselling and support during times of difficulty.
